A juried exhibition of sculptural and functional works made from two of nature’s most expressive materials.

New Hope Arts invites artists to submit work for Elemental: Works in Paper & Clay, a juried exhibition celebrating the expressive power and tactile beauty of two of the world’s most elemental materials. From handmade paper to porcelain, from paper mâché to earthenware sculpture, this exhibition explores the enduring connection between natural materials and the creative spirit.

Elemental: Works in Paper & Clay honors traditional craftsmanship, innovative form, and contemporary vision in works that are rooted in earth and fiber. We welcome both functional and conceptual works, inviting artists to explore the versatility, fragility, and strength inherent in these materials.

Jurors: Lisa Naples and Deborah Bruns-Thomas

• Clay: including but not limited to porcelain, stoneware, earthenware, raku, terracotta, sculptural ceramics, and functional pottery
• Paper: including handmade paper, sculptural paper works, paper mâché, paper collage, pulp painting, or mixed media where paper is a primary material Mixed media works incorporating other elements are acceptable as long as paper or clay represents at least 50% of the piece. *All work must be original, created within the last 3 years, and available for sale.

Entry Guidelines

• Maximum Entries: 5 pieces per artist
• Submission Fee: $40 per artist ($30 for Members)
• How to Submit: Email high-resolution JPEG images (300 dpi) of each work with an artist statement and entry form to newhopeartsorg@gmail.com.*
• Please include title, dimensions, medium, and price of each piece (including 35% to NHA if sold)

• Submission Deadline: June 1 by 11:59 pm
• Notification of Acceptance: Email notification by June 6
• Artwork Delivery: June 22 and 23
• Opening Reception: Saturday, June 28, 6-8 pm (Member Preview 5-6 pm)
• Exhibition Dates: June 28 – August 3
• Artwork Pickup/Return: August 4 and 5
