New Hope Arts Invitational Exhibition of Textile Arts – May 6 through May 28
New Hope Arts’ invitational show offers a month-long exploration of original and repurposed techniques in fiber & fashion featuring couture to radical experiments in design. Opening events on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 spotlight the return of our popular runway fashion show.
Show times are Saturday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 6 pm. Advanced ticket purchase is encouraged.
NHArts’ second showcase of textile arts is devoted to established and emerging designers and fiber artists. The exhibition, curated by Sandy Morrison, features the wide variety of methods and media in wearables, wall art and installations. Serving as a forum for the exchange of ideas, innovations, and design, fiber, fabric, fashion, features both vintage, contemporary fashions and modern fiber art. Approximately 30 artists working in the field are participating including new exhibitors and established designers.
The wall art and installations will be on display throughout the month of May. Gallery hours open to the public begin Friday May 12 and continue through May 28. Hours are Friday through Sunday, 12- 5 pm and by appointment. The exhibition also features the retail boutique with samples of our designer’s wearables and accessories available for sale.
