WORKS in WOOD, the 11th Annual Exhibition opens on November 12th at New Hope Arts’ Robin Larsen Gallery in New Hope, PA. This featured event on the roster of New Hope Arts important juried shows includes the work of thirty artists in the medium with objects ranging from furniture to vessels and sculpture. Two nationally recognized artists in the New Hope School’s longstanding tradition of woodwork, Mira Nakashima-Yarnall and Jeffrey Greene, served as juror for the exhibition. More than seventy works will be on view from November 12 through December 17th.
The opening of Works in Wood is traditionally celebrated with the artists’ reception on November 12th from 6-8 pm. This year David Rago Modern Auctions of Lambertville, NJ is sponsoring cash awards presented to the outstanding selections in each of the forms showcased - furniture, vessel and sculpture. Over the last fifteen years Rago Modern has significantly contributed to the national recognition of the region’s wood artists. This show marks an opportunity for recognition of a number of returning artists as well as new exhibitors. It also marks the opportunity to acquire significant new works for the collector and enthusiast. All works are for sale during the exhibition.
